Compounding Services at Tri-State Compounding
WHAT IS COMPOUNDING >
Compounding is an exciting and unique aspect of pharmacy practice. Tailoring the dosages and dosage forms of medications to better suit a patient is an important service that the Tri-State Compounding Pharmacy provides to our valued customers. Commercially available products are not always a good fit for all patients. At our specialized pharmacy, we are specifically devoted to providing your medication in the form that is best suited for you by researching to come up with unique ideas to help our patients.
ORAL CAPSULES
We prepare different strengths of medications for people who can not tolerate the commercially available products.
ORAL LIQUIDS
Preparing medications in a liquid form allows the patient, human or pet, who can't swallow pills, to get the appropriate medicine in a vast range of flavors.
TOPICAL
Topical preparations can be used for both local and systemic effects. Transdermal gels allow quick penetration to the blood stream.
SUPPOSITORIES
Suppositories are another way for patients who have difficulty swallowing pills to receive their medications.
COMPOUNDED TREATMENTS
Some treatment areas where compounding is especially useful include Hormone Replacement Therapy, Diabetic Medications, Sleep Problems, Pediatrics, Infections and more.
< SALIVA TESTING
Saliva testing is another service we provide to our patients. A saliva test is a lab test used to detect your body's hormone levels. The test is used for both men and women who feel that their hormone levels may be out of normal range based on symptoms that they are experiencing. Women often use this test during or after menopause. Men often use the test as they get older and experience what is called "andropause."

Pets are some of our best patients! Our newest idea for our K-9 patients is putting their medications in "treat" form. That's right, we can make dog treats that contain your pet's medication. This dosage form has been very successful so far and we are excited to have such a convenient way to give your dog medication.
