Nausea and Vomiting
Nausea and vomiting can occur with a variety of diseases. However, in certain situations, nausea and/or vomiting themselves, can become major health problems. This is particularly true in patients who develop nausea and/or vomiting while undergoing chemotherapy or following the administration of certain drugs such as cisplatin.
Tri-State Compounding Pharmacy can provide a variety of anti-nausea and vomiting prevention medications. These medications can be compounded in various forms, such as suppositories and troches, for ease of administration. Additionally, these medications can be coupled with pain relievers or compounded with transdermal bases, such as PLO among others, that allow the active ingredients to be absorbed directly through the skin.
While the majority of compounded prescription medications that Tri-State Compounding Pharmacy can provide for the control of nausea and vomiting are designed for patients undergoing chemotherapy, patients who experience motion sickness may also benefit from these medications.
